The MTV Video Music Awards will be held in a week, and some of today’s most popular performers will miss this event.
According to the American media, Harry Stiles refused to perform at the award ceremony, which is being held at several locations in New York this year due to the corona virus pandemic. The reason – zero nomination (in the main categories) for the singer, despite more than successful albums.
Styles released the album Fine Line in December last year, which debuted at number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 list, selling more than 400,000 copies of its first week.
Single Lights Up, Adore You and Watermelon Sugar were among the most listened songs in the previous months, and the singer was supposed to go on a world tour, which was postponed.
All this was not enough for MTV, so Harry was left empty-handed, to the general shock of the fans.
MTV tried to buy it, so it found itself in the subsequently added category of Summer Song, but there is every chance that we will not watch it at the award ceremony.
